Building/structure dates: 1893
Building/structure dates: 1904 subsequent work
Significance: The Merchant's National Bank was one of the few structures that survived the Baltimore fire of 1904 which destroyed 140 acres at the center of the city. The area was rebuilt between 1905 and 1920 and includes some of the finest early twentieth century architecture in Baltimore.
