Significance: The Rock Spring House Complex is a contributing element in the Woolcott Historic District. The Rock Spring House was originally located north of the community of Woolcott on the Ohio River. The flood of 1913 moved the house off its original foundation. Augusta Tietz, the second wife of James Hugh Murray II, had the structure moved to its present location. It is presently owned by Howard Murray, a descendant. The house is a one-story, three bay wood frame structure sitting on a laid stone foundation.
