Building/structure dates: 1886 initial construction
Significance: The University of Nevada Reno Historic District, a unified educational complex designed in the Jeffersonian Revival style, encompasses 40 acres with 13 contributing buildings constructed between 1886 and 1945. Nevada's first land-grant institution, the University of Nevada-Reno served as the state's only institution of higher learning until the 1960s.
