Notes
Survey number HABS LA-1168
Significance: The actual date of construction of this home is unknown; however records indicate that it was constructed before 1828. The wooden section of the house may even predate the plating of the town (1821). The brick addition is from the mid 19th C. The wooden section of the house is of native cypress; the brick part is of locally made brick and machine sawn cypress. Craftsmanship of both is about average.
