Significance: Carroll County Bridge No. 119 is a Whipple thru truss, which is a Pratt truss with double intersections. The bridge still sits upon cut stone abutments and wing walls, and retains most of its original members. Carroll County Bridge No. 119 is one of the few structures which remains as a fine example of a dwindling number of structures fabricated by one of Indiana's most prolific bridge builders. This bridge is of local significance.
