Building/structure dates: 1904 initial construction
National Register Number: 74000805
Significance: This structure fronted on Thayer Street and was completed on November 15, 1904, costing $2,603.96. Built in a Classical Revival style according to the Quartermaster General's plan 39C, the structure had brick walls, a coursed rubble limestone foundation, and a slate roof. The brick was arranged in running bong, joined with red-pigmented mortar. The structure measured 34 feet by 28 feet, had stone stairs without railing leading to two doors on the north side. Adjoining the doors were two six-light double hung windows. The other sides of the structure each had two six-light double hung windows. All windows had segmental arches and limestone lug sills. The hipped roof had a corbeled chimney protruding south of its geometric center and rotated 45 degrees. Ornamental rafter tails arranged 16 inches apart were beneath the eaves.
