Building/structure dates: 1920 initial construction
Significance: It is one of the most highly visible truss bridges in the mountains, for it spans the Tuckaseegee River beside U.S. Route 19A. It is 160' long and divided into nine panels. The truss was designed for two lanes of traffic. The span contains fully-machined members. The clevises of the tie rods are threaded onto its members.
