Building/structure dates: 1873 initial construction
Significance: The bridge crosses the Monocacy River at a slight skew. A ford probably existed prior to the building of the bridge which may have determined the position of the road and boundaries of property and the alignment of the bridge. This, however, entailed no difficulties in details of the bridge since the floor simply rests on top of the lower chord.
