Building/structure dates:
1890 initial construction
Significance: The Meadow Road Bridge is a single span, Pratt through truss that was erected ca. 1890. Although it was not identified as a significant structure in Cultural Resource Management in Wisconsin (the state's cultural resource management plan), the bridge compares well with several of the five pre-1895 bridges that were noted -- all of which were considered significant due to their "dwindling number" statewide. The Meadow Road Bridge is also significant as the only remaining example of this bridge-type and period in the Town of Lowell, a community which once claimed three such examples.
