Building/structure dates: 1874 initial construction
Significance: Eduard Steves founded a family prominent in San Antonio building, financial and social circles. The house is an excellent example of lavish mansarded Victorian domestic architecture of the 1870s, when the early settlers began to prosper after their early hardships.
