Significance: The bridge is a 1213-foot long multiple span structure comprised of wood pile trestle approach spans and steel plate deck girder main spans. The roadway accommodates two travel lanes, with a deck width of 26 feet flanked by two 3'-6" sidewalks. The pedestrian railings are precast concrete construction with diamond-shaped rails spanning between square concrete posts (an Oregon standardized bridge railing). Decorative details include stepped railing posts and Art Deco entrance pylons at the four bridge corners. The bridge is a Depression-era structure designed in conjunction with the Bureau of Public Roads.
