On this page you will find all of our key search and browse tools in one convenient place. Members who routinely use more than one of the following tools for their research have the best chance of finding the perfect map.

Browse by:
	Geographic Area Find any map in our collection by geographic location. Map groups and atlases are separated by state, and are sortable by attributes such as map type (bird's eye views, charts, etc.), image quality, publisher and date.
	Points of Interest Find maps by browsing millions of points of interest within our collection including buildings, cemeteries, churches, schools, and much more.
Search by:
	Location Search for maps of towns, cities, and counties by name and state.
	Keyword Keyword search queries our database for map names, atlas names, publishers, dates, and locations that match your keywords.
	Illustration Finder Contemporary views of American buildings, towns, and people of prominence. Searchable by both family and business names.
	Address Browse a list of all maps associated with a modern street address or by the latitude / longitude coordinates from your handheld GPS device.
	GPS Map Finder GPS search queries our database of geocoded United States maps by latitude and longitude coordinates, in degrees. A list of maps containing the coordinates are returned.
	Item Number Find a map by Historic Map Works item number i.e. "US123".
	Publisher Find a map by publisher name.
	Directories Search the text of directories listing residential names and occupations, yearbooks, phonebooks, and other historical books.
